Our goals for this journey are:

Week One: Brainstorming in small groups about what makes a good citizen. Discussions about the rights and responsibilities of a good citizen. Introduce good citizens tracker sheet.
Week Two: Comic life project and presentations
Week Three: Class brainstorming on ways to earn money for charity. Discussion on the voting process.
Week Four: Groups will work on their presentations for their chosen charity and fundraiser.
Week Five: Group presentations on fundraiser and charity. Class vote. Field trip to clean a park. More discussion about what makes a good citizen.
Week Six: Guest Speaker, Mr. Police. Rights and Responsibilities worksheet. Start podcast projects
Week Seven: Finish podcast projects.
Week Eight: Podcast commercials air. This week we will prepare for our fundraiser! Carnival on Friday!
Week Nine: Week Nine Overview: Writing letters to St. Jude's, reflection, review.
